About Kay
From Kayos to Clarity
I'm Kay, founder of The Clarity Co. For over 15 years I've helped people move from stuck to clear. I use Nancy Kline's Time to Think, Edward de Bono's Lateral Thinking tools, Depth Facilitation and Rapid Results coaching.
I don't hand people conclusions. I build the conditions in which they reach their own, faster than they would alone.

The long way round
One long, slightly obsessed learning journey
About how we think, how we lead, and how to stop complexity from wearing us down.
1994
I started a casting company
I co-founded Kayos Casting Directors with my husband, Ross (Kay plus Ross, hence Kayos), and ran it for 30 years. We worked on over 6,500 TV commercials and auditioned close to a million people in our studios. Campaign magazine in the UK once voted us one of the top three casting directors in the world. No course teaches you about human nature the way that does.
2006
I stopped blaming people
A year of E-Myth Mastery training got me off the hamster wheel. I swapped “who's to blame?” for “what's missing in the system?” That one question built a culture at Kayos grounded in trust and good design.
2009
I heard Edward de Bono speak
It was the turning point. Six Thinking Hats and Lateral Thinking gave me a way to think better on purpose, with no fluff in it. I trained and was licensed as a de Bono facilitator in 2009, and have run sessions for creative houses and big companies ever since.
2010
I learned to be quiet
Nancy Kline's Time to Think showed me how to build conditions where people slow down, get listened to properly, and do their own thinking. Two depth facilitation trainings taught me how to hold that space when it gets real.
2015
I learned to draw the thinking
I trained in graphic facilitation and have used it in my sessions ever since. When a team draws its vision together, it becomes theirs. That picture keeps working long after the day is over.
Now
Rapid Results coaching
I'm a certified Rapid Results coach, with ICF-approved training through Authentic Education in Australia. These techniques help people break decades-old limiting beliefs and sabotaging habits, and move towards goals they actually want. The results astonish me.
Why circles
I've sat in a lot of them. Toastmasters, where I placed 10th in the world in 2012. Codependency recovery. Business accountability groups. Women's circles. Art therapy. Trail running. A 650km hike across the Rim of Africa.
In my experience the biggest shifts, and the most tangible results, came from groups. Something happens when people work together to become a better version of themselves. That's why Clarity Circles exist.
Idea generation on steroids
I spent over 15 years as an innovation facilitator inside big South African corporates, including Woolworths, Engen and Allan Gray. Rooms full of clever people who had run out of new answers.
That work is what the Strategy & Vision Days are built on: structured provocation, one hat at a time, and a shared picture of where the team is going.

What comes out of a session
I draw the thinking as it happens. Visions, strategy days, graphic harvests from speaking workshops. Not decoration — a record a group can point at and argue with.

Clarity leads directly to confident, game-changing action.
Stuck is what happens alone. Clear is what happens when we think together. Tell me where you're stuck, and I'll tell you which of these is the right fit.
